Vacation, Day 4

Silverwood, in Couer d'Alene, Idaho. We had an awesome time. It was a little on the coolish side, and a little rainy, which might have kept a lot of people away that day. That made for some really short lines for us. I went on Tremors with Zack once, and only once. I was pretty queasy for a while after that. However, he had a great time going on it several times. Both boys went on the log ride a ton of times, and that was a lot of fun.

We were going to stay one more day, but ended up going back home Sunday night to sleep in our own beds. We had an awesome time. That's all for our vacation blog, but I may use this space for the future to keep track of fun times we have together.

Spokane, Washington! We went to Riverfront Park and saw some bands at a battle-of-the-bands thing. Also, we caught Spiderman 3 at the IMAX. Pretty cool stuff.

This is our big day at Triple Play, and I think we got our money's worth.  Water slides, miniature golf, bowling, go carts, paddle boats, you name it...we got plenty of it today.  Here's the album:

Vacation day 2

I'm getting requests for Borders tonight, so we'll probably hit that place in a few minutes.  After all....music, books, coffee...what else is there in life?

Tomorrow:  We might just stay in Couer d'Alene and go on to Silverwood Park, and hit Spokane Sunday and Monday so that we're that much closer to home when it's time to go.  We'll have to think that one over. 

Oh, I got up at 6am this morning and ran at nearby Lake City High School.  Beautiful track facilities and a really nice morning made for a good run.  I'll probably do that again tomorrow because I'm unsure of where we'll be the rest of the time. 

Vacation, Day 1

The boys and I got up here to Couer d'Alene at about 4pm this afternoon, just in time to hit the water park. We did some exploring, and there's a mini golf course and bowling alley included with our stay here. We're going to be in the water park until it closes tonight, then we'll hit the other attractions here all day tomorrow. A good time will be had by all. Should be enough to keep us busy most of the day. Here's a link to our pictures from the first day:

Getting ready

Hard to believe, but we're leaving this Thursday morning for our vacation. I'm leading a workshop in my school district Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, so that will leave just the evenings to get ready. We'll get 'er done, though. Right now, the 10-day forecast for Spokane calls for temps in the 60's and 70's with no rain. For now. We'd better bring a jacket just in case, but it definitely looks promising. Tanner's outgrown his clothes (again), so it looks like we'll be stopping at Old Navy or somewhere first to stock up on summer time clothes.

Can't wait for the trip. Woo-hoo! We'll be using this blog to post pictures from my new digital camera along the way.
